RTC under Alert Level 3

Tēnā koutou katoa learners, clients, parents, whānau and caregivers,

As we move on Tuesday into a Level 3 Alert, this means that we can make changes to the way that we support learning.  If you are enrolled with us already, when your Tutor makes daily contact with you they will be advising you what this looks like for you.

Here is a brief overview:

  • Intensive Literacy and Numeracy  - will be running 2 days per week at your campus.
  • Building Level 3 - will be running 2 days per week at your campus (alternate days to ILN)
  • Automotive, Building Levels 1 & 2, Health & Fitness, Hospitality and ICT - activities will be emailed or posted to you, and your Tutor will follow up with videos, Face Time group chats and by phone (whichever way you agree upon together).
  • MSD Clients - remote learning and contact, no on campus activities.

Please note that in making these decisions, the welfare and wellbeing of people has come first.  To ensure the safety of everyone, we have strict policies developed specifically to manage hygiene, interactions, tracing and activities during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, we cannot run our vans to pick up and drop off learners and clients, as we are unable to do this within the social distancing rules.  We will be able to subsidise your own travel to and from the campuses IF you have classes running.  Please do not visit campuses unless your class is running face to face teaching that day.  We will not be able to provide lunches, or have our student and staff rooms open, so please come prepared with your lunch and drinks.

Thank you in advance for your flexibility during this time, we appreciate it and you very much.

Noho ora mai,

Regent Training Centre Staff
