RTC during lockdown
During New Zealand's lock down we want to let you know that the health, safety and wellbeing of our people - our learners and our staff - is our priority.
Our Tutors are all being paid and they will be maintaining regular contact with our enrolled learners and clients. This is to check in on them and keep everyone in the loop of group video chats / learning / updates and lots of wellbeing tips for mind, body and soul. We understand that the majority of our learners and clients do not have access to large data connections and hardware to be able to learn and test online, so in fairness to everyone - rather than offer online teaching - we are spending a lot of our time during lock down creating more streamline learning and assessment modules, modernising old teaching resources and basically making everything even better than it was for their return to campus! That means when learners come back to their programme of study, they will be able to achieve better and quicker than before, and with a whole lot more fun injected as well!
In the meantime, if you are one of our students, please keep answering the phone and replying to messages when your Tutor tries to makes contact, the best thing for you to do is stay enrolled (you can still get Student Allowances), and stay engaged with your learning, so that as soon as we can, we will have our campuses open to you and support you to fly through the rest of your studies with your RTC friends and Tutors. And if you need more time because of the COVID-19 lock down, then we can deal with that for you.
Stay well, and we can't wait to see you all soon!
Kia kaha, arohanui, mauri tū, mauri ora.
