A place to help students gain choice and control over their future. At RTC we support our communities by positively impacting the lives of our students, one at a time.
For nearly 40 years, Regent Training Centre has been successful in helping to create options for students and trainees through education, support and mentoring. Our strengths lie in our commitment and dedication to improving the lives of all those that we work with. We simply believe in people.
The first Regent Training Centre campus was based just outside of Whangarei, in Ngararatunua. What began with a small rural school housing just 2 classrooms, has steadily grown into 5 campuses across Te Taitokerau (Northland).
While each campus may look different, they are all linked by a whanau feel and atmosphere, and an aim to see people achieve more than what they could hope for themselves. For many of our students, through no fault of their own, traditional learning environments have not worked.
With an emphasis on wellbeing and supported learning through practice and patience, Regent Training Centre helps students to become the best version of themselves. To succeed where once they may have failed and our graduates have gone onto achieve great things in higher education and in meaningful employment.
Still Kiwi owned and operated since 1984, students at Regent Training Centre can be assured of the relevance and quality of our courses and programmes of study for the New Zealand environment.
We are a registered Private Training Establishment (PTE) that is fully accredited and approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to deliver various National Certificates, National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA) and Youth Guarantee Vocational Pathways.
We gain government funding through the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) so that our programmes can be delivered with zero fees to students. We are also endorsed by and affiliated to numerous Standard Setting Bodies and Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) to deliver nationally recognised unit standards.
